Campus Collaterals

Established in 2005, the Corporate Campus Program at HT Media carries along with it a rich legacy of 10 years and is aimed at creating a pool of business leaders for tomorrow.

 Our Campus program ‘ACCELERATOR’ is divided into two categories – Management Trainee (MT) & Direct Management Entry (DME). While the MT Program started in 2005 and spans premier institutions like IIM-A, IIM- B, IIM – C, IIM – L and MICA, the DME program was introduced in 2012 and covers other premier campuses like FMS, IIFT, IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIM Raipur, MDI, NMIMS, S.P. Jain and XLRI.

Both MT and DME programs have been designed to be the cradle that cultivates future talent for the organization. It is a highly interactive program that promotes teambuilding and leadership, while providing opportunities for growth and learning through key assignments and assessments.

The program exposes campus hires to different aspects of the organization, given our presence across functions like Sales, Media Marketing, Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain and across businesses covering  Information, Entertainment and Education verticals.

Structure of the Program

The Corporate Orientation Program is a 3 week long program hosted at the Corporate office where the young leaders get an opportunity to interact and learn about the organization and its lines of businesses from the leaders themselves. The program also covers field visits spanning Media Marketing & Marketing Agencies/Clients, Reporting Beat, Newspaper Distribution Centre & Plants for greater understanding of how the organization operates.

Post the corporate orientation, MTs and DMEs embark upon their 12 month journey of the core functional stint. The stint helps them gain an in depth understanding of their function and its linkages to various sub functions through a number of target based assignments and project work.

Post 12 months stint in a respective function/business, young hires are rotated across other businesses and functions to train them for general management roles within the organization.

Learning Environment

       Mentorship Program - The mentorship program is focused at providing a platform for direct opportunities for knowledge sharing and professional development to young talent through continuous counsel and guidance of senior leaders. All MTs and DMEs are assigned a mentor, and encouraged to gain maximum learning from the program

       Engagement – We drive various engagement initiatives for campus pool such as HR Connect to understand their aspirations ; Speed Mentoring to provide visibility with senior leaders across businesses, Reverse Mentoring where young leaders dawn the mantle of a guide and share their perspectives and knowledge on topics chosen

       Development – We are conscious of the fact that merely hiring vibrant minds from top notch campuses is not enough, we need to keep stimulating these minds on an ongoing basis. We thus provide specific development inputs through various self and leadership development  workshops which enable them to fast track their growth

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Summer Internship Program ‘WINGS’ is an extension of the Campus Talent Program. It aims at providing exposure to young graduates through live projects over a period of 2 months. The program sees participation from premier B-schools in India and invites selected candidates to gain an insight into the HT Media way of working.

We assume great responsibility for the talent we recruit and our WINGS program is no exception. With a well-designed induction program and structured performance assessments, we ensure young talent undergoes specific learning interventions during their stint with us.

We recently reintroduced the Pre Placement Interview (PPI) and Pre Placement Offer (PPO) policy whereby high performing interns are shortlisted on their project delivery during the 2 month internship, and assessed further on competency and culture fitment. The selected individuals are extended the final offer to become part of HT Media family.
