In keeping with our brand proposition of "Tarakki" we launched “Hindustan Jaano English” in partnership with BBC in the month of May in 2010. The insight was that a significant number of jobs in the new economy were reserved for those with a working knowledge of English.
This initiative was the first of its kind and was extremely well accepted by readers and our trade partners. Initially conceived as a nine part series we had to extend it into a regular supplement due to reader demand. It also won a Media Innovation Award sponsored by Afaqs (A leading trade publication). Currently it is a weekly supplement (Every Friday), priced at Re.1 and has a circulation of around 4.8 L copies.
Our dedicated editorial team ensures that we have high quality content, every week. Our goal is to transform "Jaano English" into a movement that ushers in economic and social progress by making the knowledge of English available and affordable to all in the Hindi Belt.
